MINNEHAHA CO., S.D. (KELO) —An organization that combines therapy with horses is gearing up for an event this weekend.

Horses upon horses can be found just north of Crooks. But these aren't just any random horses– they serve a greater purpose with HorsePower.

"HorsePower is an equine assisted facility, where we provide programming and therapies for individuals with disabilities. And so that includes anybody with a physical, cognitive, or mental health challenge," HorsePower Executive Director, Mindy Hill said.

Originally called Handi-Riders, the nonprofit has grown since it started in 1985.
