Did I say wet? Yes I did! Tuesday afternoon, as the mid-week front passed through the coast, it brought with it some much needed precipitation. Although it wasn’t widespread, it did rain some in Jamaica Beach, and boy, did we need it.
So, what about the rest of southeast Texas? Winds from this front will quickly shift back to the east/southeast and will bring with it an increase chance of precipitation. Just how much and how widespread? I’ll try to answer that later this week.
Tropical Storm Mellissa has formed in the Caribbean Sea. She’s forecasted to be upgraded to a hurricane sometime Friday as she meanders around. Good news is she wouldn’t be a threat to Texas.
