University of Delaware QB Nick Minicucci threw four touchdown passes, but left the game with an injury, in a 31-28 victory over MTSU in a Conference USA game Wednesday night.

Delaware's offense started strong, putting together three touchdown drives of 10 or 11 plays on their first four possessions.

Minicucci connected with Sean Wilson for a 22-yard touchdown to start the game, but then MTSU went on its best drive until the dying embers of the game to equal the score on a Nick Vattiato to Nahzae Cox connection.

A failed toss led to a fumble on Delaware's second possession, with MTSU quickly converted to take a 14-7 lead, scoring just 1:01 apart.

Delaware went back to the passing game, and it worked as Minicucci and Wilson connected again in the back of the end zone for a 10-yard score
