Prime Minister Modi's visit to Malaysia has been postponed. He will not attend the ASEAN Summit. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced this in a post on Instagram.

PM Ibrahim wrote, "I received a call from PM Modi today. We discussed further strengthening India-Malaysia relations. We also discussed the ASEAN Summit. Modi informed me that he would be participating in the summit online."

It's worth noting that Modi could have met Trump if he had gone to Malaysia. Earlier in September, Modi also skipped the United States to attend the UNGA Summit. Reports suggest that Foreign Minister Jaishankar may attend the ASEAN Summit in his place.
