Days ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, four notorious gangsters involved in multiple cases of murder in the state, were killed in an encounter with a joint team of Delhi Police and Bihar Police in Rohini earlier today.

The shootout between the gangsters and the police took place at 2.20am in Northwest Delhi, when the cops tried to intercept the gang and they opened fire in a bid to escape. They were rushed to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, but the doctors declared them brought dead.

The slain gangsters Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahto (25), Manish Pathak (33) and Aman Thakur (21) – all wanted for multiple murders and extortion among other crimes – were reportedly hiding in Delhi for several days.
