(Seguin) — The stage today at Seguin High School will come alive with magic carpets and genies as students prepare to open their production of Aladdin Jr. The first performance will be a special showing for Seguin ISD’s elementary and Pre-K students.
Lydia Robles, theatre director and fine arts has always reported that the fall production is a tradition that gives younger audiences a chance to experience live theatre up close.
This year’s production follows the beloved Disney tale of Aladdin, a “diamond in the rough” who discovers a magic lamp and is granted three wishes by a larger-than-life genie. Along the way, Aladdin must find the courage to be himself and win the heart of Princess Jasmine while outsmarting the scheming royal advisor, Jafar.
