There was no keeping this South West punter quiet after scooping the loot in Lotto.

On finding out they had won $800,542 in Saturday Lotto, the man leapt out of his chair with excitement.

“I was so excited I leapt out of my chair and was jumping for joy,” the retiree said.

“I couldn’t contain my excitement — and I had to call some close family to share the news immediately.”

He bought the ticket at Reuben’s News in Collie, collecting the division one winnings with his family at the Lotterywest HQ in Perth.
