The city says months of work remain on the project titled “Scottsdale Road Improvements – Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive.”
While a roundabout that was originally part of the project was jettisoned by City Council earlier this year, the $44 million project is moving ahead.
Locals have endured months of lane closures and limited (if any) access to artillery streets.
After preliminary work in the middle of last year, construction began last fall – and is scheduled to continue through next summer.
According to the city, “Planned improvements will convert this section of Scottsdale Road to a complete street to include landscaped medians, bike lanes, sidewalks and trails to improve safety, capacity and accessibility for motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians.”
