Much of the UK will be battered by the elements as Storm Benjamin passes by.

The storm has been named by the meteorological service in France, where the worst of the weather is expected today (October 23).

But the UK's Met Office has issued a number of weather warnings for wind and rain, with areas of England and Wales expected to feel Benjamin's effects.

Greater Manchester is set to avoid the worst of the weather, with no warnings in place across the North West.
