Evangelos Marinakis has handed Sean Dyche his chance to manage in the Europa League proper - seven years after helping take it away.

The Nottingham Forest owner has officially appointed Dyche , whose first match in charge will be a huge European clash with Porto .

The ex-Burnley and Everton manager has signed a contract until 2027 and becomes Forest's third boss of the season.

Nuno Espirito Santo was given his marching orders in September, but his successor, Ange Postecoglou , lasted just 39 days in the job.

Postecoglou was dismissed immediately after Forest's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea , having failed to win any of his eight games in charge.
