Roy Keane questioned if the Nottingham Forest players wanted to keep Ange Postecoglou as manager in their defeat to Chelsea.
Forest lost 3-0 to the Blues at the weekend, with Postecoglou sacked less than 20 minutes after the full-time whistle.
He went winless in all eight matches during his 39-day spell and has been succeeded by Sean Dyche at the City Ground.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis left his seat midway through the second half against Chelsea as Postecoglou's sacking loomed.
They were the much-better side in the opening 45 minutes and had plenty of chances to score, but lost their fifth Premier League match.
