It takes a special kind of person to run a haunted house. You’d think Nightmare’s actors are all horror aficionados, but it turns out many are scaredy cats in search of a community.
A maze full of creeps like this is many people’s worst nightmare. For Sam Zisk, it’s a dream.
“I’m deeply, deeply entrenched in making this show happen and making people feel welcome here,” said Zisk.
Nightmare Vermont’s annual horror show and its troop of self-proclaimed “top shelf weirdos” anchor the actor to Vermont.
“This is my whole social life now, and it’s a wonderful community,” said Zisk.
