Mumbai witnessed a major fire incident on Thursday morning after a Level-III blaze broke out at the 13-storey JNS Business Center in Jogeshwari West. The fire, which engulfed the 9th to 12th floors of the commercial building, prompted an extensive rescue operation by the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).

According to officials, 24 people trapped inside were safely evacuated through the staircase. No injuries have been reported so far.

The incident was reported to the MFB at 10:51 am, following which a Level-III fire call was made at 10:54 am. “Firemen equipped with breathing apparatus carried out rescue and ventilation operations,” the MFB said in a statement.
