Virat Kohli came out to bat at his usual No. 3 position for Team India on Thursday (October 23) in the second ODI against Australia at Adelaide Oval but failed to open his account. He faced four balls during his stay at the crease but was not able to add even one run to India’s total. He was trapped in front of the wickets by Xavier Bartlett on the fifth ball of the seventh over of India’s innings.

The duck in Adelaide by Kohli stunned Indian fans, as for the first time in his 17-year-long ODI career, he failed to open his account in back-to-back matches.

In the first ODI against Australia on October 19 in Perth, he was sent back to the dugout for an eight-ball duck by Mitchell Starc.
