CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The leader of the Charleston County School District will discuss successes and outline plans for growth during an annual address Thursday morning.
Superintendent Anita Huggins is set to deliver the 2025 State of the Schools address during an event that will be held at the Charleston Music Hall.
District officials said Huggins will share the district’s recent achievements and will outline key initiatives that are underway to improve outcomes for every student.
As part of that plan, Huggins will discuss the goal of expanding Universal Pre-K Child Development, which is provided through local and state funds. The program is designed to help children develop skills necessary for success in kindergarten.
