CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – James Gosnell Jr., the suspended Charleston County magistrate judge indicted by a grand jury on federal sexual abuse material charges, is scheduled to have an arraignment hearing Thursday morning.

Gosnell, 68, was indicted by that federal grand jury on six charges related to child sexual abuse material on Oct. 21, according to documents.

He was arrested in September after a Homeland Security investigation claimed to link an account associated with Gosnell to a site in the United Kingdom that was distributing child sexual abuse material.

At the first hearing, on Sept. 17, Gosnell’s lawyer attempted to characterize the circumstances surrounding his arrest as an isolated incident to push for pre-trial release; however, information provided by prosecutors painted a
