Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday inaugurated the newly built MLA Quarters Complex in Gandhinagar and laid the foundation stone for a six-lane expansion of the Shantipura-Khoraj GIDC Road in Sanand, according to official statements from the Gujarat government.

The MLA quarters, constructed at a cost of Rs 325 crore in Sector 17 of Gandhinagar , comprise 216 units in 12 blocks. Each unit spans 238.45 square metres and includes three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, office room, and a servant’s room. Built by the state Roads and Buildings Department over an area of 28,576 square metres, the complex also features a multipurpose hall, community hall, swimming pool, gymnasium, canteen, clinic, and provision store.
