Mayor of Kingstown co-creator Hugh Dillon has discussed the endgame for the successful Taylor Sheridan series. Lead by MCU star Jeremy Renner, Mayor of Kingstown season 1 was released on November 14, 2021, to critical and commercial success. The show proved to be a big hit on Paramount+, and is regarded as one of Sheridan's best shows .

Sheridan wrote (or co-wrote) the entire first season, but has been less involved in later seasons. Dillon still actively writes for the show, most recently penning season 3's episode " Captain of the S*** Out of Luck. " With Mayor of Kingstown season 4 set to be the darkest and most immersive season yet, the show is heading toward a definitive conclusion.
