BHOPAL: Allegedly denied treatment, a 55-year-old farmer died outside the doctor's residence at the Amanganj Community Health Centre in Panna district on Tuesday evening. The villagers erupted in protest after receiving word of his death, accusing the block medical officer (BMO), Dr Ashish Tiwari, of being drunk and negligent. The deceased, Ajay Pal Singh, a resident of Daharra village, reportedly fell ill around 7 pm on Oct 21 after complaining of severe stomach pain. His family rushed him to the Amanganj CHC for treatment. However, despite being on duty, Dr Tiwari was allegedly not present at the hospital.
