NISSWA — An expansion project is underway at the southern edge of the Schaefer's Foods parking lot, where a retail center will house a medical clinic and three or four other businesses.
Andy Schaefer, Schaefer's Foods co-president, said the 15,488 square-foot building is due to open by June 1, 2026, and currently has at least two open spaces.
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center will occupy one space with a same-day clinic and pharmacy offering medical care for all ages.
Schaefer is working with the city of Nisswa on a possible expansion of Spirits of Nisswa municipal liquor store, which anchors one side of the shopping block.
The Schaefers have considered this expansion project for years, and decided to build it after GuidePoint Pharmacy left its spot in the grocery store at the end of 202
