A 21-year-old Indian man living illegally in the United States was arrested for allegedly causing a semi-truck crash that killed three people in southern California.

The man, identified as Jashanpreet Singh, was driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer on the I-10 Freeway in San Bernardino County when he slammed into slow-moving traffic without braking, igniting a massive fireball.

The crash, caught on dashcam, left three people dead and several others injured — including Singh himself — and a mechanic assisting with a tyre change.

According to reports, the police said Singh was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash. His toxicology tests confirmed impairment, and he has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. “He was eventually transported to the
