DES MOINES, Iowa —
More Iowans are waking up to freezing temperatures and frost this morning.
Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts | Skycams
Winds have calmed down, so there isn’t much of a wind chill like yesterday morning. With the calm conditions, moisture is able to settle down and form more widespread frost over the state. Any plants left unprotected outside most likely are damaged. We will warm up through the day with highs back in the 50s and low 60s under sunny skies.
Friday will have more clouds, but we should stay dry. The morning will have some additional frost and freeze potential for parts of the state, but we will warm up deeper into the 60s for the afternoon. Some isolated rain chances will return for Saturday and Sunday as more clouds move in. Showers will be spotty,
