KINGSTON — The city’s tourism sector may continued to attract visitors from the United States in the first half of 2025 despite rising international political and trade tensions.

While the tourism information from July, August and September is not yet available, data from the first two quarters of the year showed American visitors have continued to come to the city.

“We actually are flatlined in terms of visitation from the U.S. market,” Megan Knott, chief executive officer of Tourism Kingston, told city council Tuesday night.
