FARGO — As a mom of three young boys, Amber Hage realized that there weren’t many places in Fargo where creative kids could sell the things they made.
Her 8-year-old son, Parker, already has a passion for business. He started his small business, “Stick With Parker,” before Christmas of last year and has made and sold magnets, stickers, bracelets and more at various local events, including the Fargo Face Off, and even created magnets for Sanford Children's Hospital.
Inspired by her own entrepreneurial background and watching her son interact with others at Market, Hage came up with the idea for the Next Gen Marketplace– a new event where kids can set up and sell their products, network with one another and gain valuable real-world skills.
