I've voted in every general election since 2002, the first election I was old enough to participate in. At first it was a thrill to be a part of the American citizenry, but as election results continually seemed to be doing nothing toward fixing the big issues I was seeing, I began to question if it was worth the extra effort. Every ballot I look up the candidate websites and platforms, trying to ensure that when I make the choice to fill in a circle it's from an informed position. It has never been easier to look up a candidate and find articles posted from or about them, to get a feel for their values and goals. It's also quite challenging, the eff ort lies in sifting through a mountain of misinformation and spin.
An endorsement for improvement
