In a recent inspection, Central Drugs Laboratories has flagged 52 samples as 'not of standard quality,' according to health ministry officials. This revelation was part of the monthly drug alert for September.

Additionally, State Drugs Testing Laboratories corroborated this finding by identifying 60 drug samples failing to meet quality standards. Together, these findings emphasize stringent regulatory oversight.

Of particular note, one sample from Chhattisgarh was found to be spurious. Manufactured without authorization, it used a brand name legally owned by another firm. Authorities are investigating this breach, promising actions in line with existing laws.
