CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Beatrice Rana’s Oct. 29 recital at Severance Music Center has been canceled. In a statement, the Cleveland Orchestra said the Italian pianist withdrew due to “personal circumstances beyond her control.”
The program was scheduled to feature selections from Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet,” Debussy’s “Études, Book II” and Tchaikovsky’s concert suite from “The Nutcracker.”
The recital was to be a follow up to her performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 last season.
The orchestra said the concert will not be rescheduled. The Severance Music Center box office will contact ticket holders about exchanging their tickets for another performance.
