A man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Sunderland Trail in Chili Wednsday night, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred just after 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 22 when a SUV crashed into a tree along the road, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy David Marcucci. The driver - who was alone in the vehicle - was unresponsive when first responders arrived and was pronounced dead.

His name was not released, pending family notification, Marcucci said.

Deputies are investigating to determine what caused the crash.

Sunderland Trail is a residential road just east of Marshall Road.
