MIDLAND, MI – The Midland Mall will temporarily open a free Halloween costume store this week to help families facing financial barriers ahead of the holiday.

The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, between Maurices and Foster Families at the mall, located at 6800 Eastman Ave.

Hundreds of costumes have been donated for the event in the past few weeks, according to mall officials.

“We wanted to help take some of the financial strain off families this year — and give every child the chance to enjoy Halloween in style,” Midland Mall officials said in Facebook post on Monday, Oct. 20. “Come shop for costumes at no cost, thanks to the kindness of our community!”
