PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A woman died early Thursday morning after a hit-and-run in North Portland, authorities said.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police said they responded to a report of a person down on North Marine Drive, and when they arrived, they found the woman dead at the scene.

Investigators said the woman had been hit by a vehicle, which immediately left the scene and hasn't been located.

During the investigation, North Marine Drive is closed between North Force Avenue and North Portland Avenue.
