A Chester man was held over for court on two charges related to a September hit-and-run in the city.
Daimen Hunter, 32, is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and accidents involving personal injury.
Assistant District Attorney Sam Cholden added the second charge at the preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Dawn Vann over the objections of defense counsel Alannah King.
Dawn heard from the alleged victim, an Amtrak employee who was driving a Ford F-550 Amtrak truck on Seventh Street at about 2 a.m. on Sept. 24.
He said he and his co-workers were working an overnight shift and changing locations from Fifth Street to Seventh Street. He was stopped at a red light on Seventh at Lloyd Street when he heard something that made him look in the rearview
