Rutgers is back in a familiar spot.

For the eighth consecutive season, the Scarlet Knights (3-4, 0-4) find themselves in the midst of a four-game losing streak. They have generally been good at stopping things there, though, with only three losing streaks of five-plus games in that span (11 in 2018, six in 2019, five in 2022).

Last year was a prime example. Rutgers was on the verge of seeing a promising season collapse when it sustained a four-game losing streak that turned a 4-0 start into a .500 record entering November, but head coach Greg Schiano’s team turned things around by winning three of its final four regular season games, with the only loss coming to then-No. 23 Illinois in befuddling fashion.
