A body has been found in the search for a missing woman in York. North Yorkshire Police were called to the River Ouse on Wednesday where they conducted an underwater search.
It followed the missing woman's family raising concerns for her safety. Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics were also on the scene, as well as York Rescue Boat.
Officers have now confirmed they have found a body which they believe to be that of the missing woman. Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police searching for a woman who is believed to have entered the River Ouse in York have sadly found a body. Officers began the search on the morning of October 22 after concerns for the woman's safety were raised by her family.
