Whenever Hollywood has a big hit on its hands that has franchise potential, the most common approach is for studios to fast-track sequels. This is done with the hope of capitalizing on audiences' interest before it fades or shifts to something else. Nowadays, if a sequel doesn't come out within three or four years of a success, it's believed that something is wrong.

That's what's made Zootopia 2 stand out. Walt Disney Animation's newest movie, set to hit theaters on November 26, is coming out nine years after the original. The long gap between installments has left a lot of questions about how much interest there still is in this world and if there is enough left to propel Disney's animated sequel to box office success.
