AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Valley Public Service Authority Water System has lifted a boil water advisory for some neighbors in Aiken County.
Officials say water service was interrupted to perform “unforeseen system repairs.”
Effected areas included:
Old Cherokee Drive
Parker Drive
Oakdale Drive
Chinaberry Drive
Windsor Drive
Fairview Road
Pineview Drive
Millrose Circle
Purpleheart Tree Lane
According to the news release, those in the area no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, water samples for bacteriological testing were collected and analyzed by Breezy Hill Laboratories. The results of the sampling indicate that the water is safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
