ELYRIA, Ohio — A 37-year-old man identified as Brian Foster has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Kay Jewelers in Elyria .
Elyria police say Foster was arrested Wednesday, which is eight days after the robbery occurred in the 500 block of Chestnut Commons Drive.
ROBBERY DETAILS
Police say it was around 6:29 p.m. on Oct. 14 when a masked suspect entered the store armed with a semi-automatic handgun “and forced employees at gunpoint to open display cases and hand over numerous pieces of jewelry.”
The suspect then fled the area on foot, according to police.
Using surveillance footage and physical evidence recovered near the scene, Elyria police say detectives developed leads that pointed to Foster as the suspect.
