APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - A 54-year-old Seymour man was sentenced to 15 years in prison and a lifetime on the sex offender registry after pleading no contest to possessing child pornography, the Seymour police chief reported Thursday.
John Breden was arrested last year after a complaint about files located on a cell phone.
He was originally charged with 36 counts, including capturing an intimate representation of a victim under 18 years old, child sexual exploitation in videos or recordings, and possession of child pornography.
Online records show Breden pleaded no contest to one charge of possession of child pornography.
The remaining charges were dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion, but they were read into the record so the judge could weigh the seriousness of the accusations at Breden’
