NEW YORK -Chauncey Billups, an NBA Hall of Fame player and the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Terry Rozier, a guard with the Miami Heat, have been arrested in connection with federal investigations into illegal gambling, according to media reports on Thursday.
The charges they faced were not immediately known, but FBI Director Kash Patel and the U.S. Attorney’s office in Brooklyn were scheduled to hold a press conference at 10 a.m. ET (1400 GMT).
Representatives of the Miami Heat and the NBA did not immediately answer requests for comment.
