Colten Ellis made 26 saves in his NHL debut and the Buffalo Sabres scored twice in the third period Wednesday to defeat the Detroit Red Wings 4-2 at the KeyBank Center.

The loss snapped the Red Wings’ five-game winning streak as they dropped to 5-2-0. Buffalo is 3-4-0.
