NEW ORLEANS — His name is Lucien Jacob and according to the Orleans Parish District Attorney, Jacob’s alleged crimes warrant a call to action.

“We now have a credible belief that additional survivors and witnesses may still be out there,” District Attorney Jason Williams said at a press conference Thursday.

Williams says DNA evidence has linked Jacob to unsolved sexual assault cases, some of them dating back decades. The shared DNA database known as CODIS helped law enforcement make the connections.
