PERRY COUNTY, Ky. — As Halloween approaches, Kentucky State Police is urging safe Halloween practices while Primary Care Centers of Eastern Kentucky prepares to provide safe Halloween fun for the community.
For those planning to trick-or-treat in the coming week, officials say there are important safety considerations to keep in mind while enjoying holiday festivities.

“During Halloween going door-to-door, we need to make sure we’re in clothing that is visible to drivers that are passing by us. Stay in well-lit areas,” Trooper Gayheart said.
Trooper Gayheart said many people signal they are giving out candy by having their porch light on. For those who prefer alternatives to door-to-door trick-or-treating, other options are available.
