The Pittsburgh Steelers have released offensive lineman Gareth Warren from injured reserve, according to the NFL transaction wire.

Warren signed with the team after a rookie minicamp tryout and positioned himself to likely make the practice squad, but he suffered a concussion during the team’s second preseason game and landed on injured reserve.

The injury occurred after a fourth quarter interception when the defender fumbled the football and Warren attempted to dive on the ball, landing straight on his head. He stayed down on the ground for some time before getting up and heading into the blue medical tent for evaluation.

Warren is 328 pounds while running a 5.22 40-yard dash with a 1.81 10-yard split. Warren has 33 5/8-inch arms, giving him enough length to stay at offensive tackl
