Former Boston Celtics player Terry Rozier's early exit from a game in 2023, while he was playing with the Hornets, is one example cited in a federal sports betting fraud case.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch described the incident on Thursday at a press conference in New York, where officials provided details of the betting fraud case and an alleged rigged poker game scheme that also involved former NBA players.

Tisch said Rozier told a group that he planned to leave a game early on March 23, 2023, while he was playing with the Hornets.
