A terrifying early-morning meeting turned into a nightmare for a 21-year-old woman who was sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint after arranging to meet a man in Virginia, police said.
Prince William County police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted and robbed a woman in a Woodbridge commuter lot before abandoning her in another county.
Officers were called just before 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, to investigate the incident, which police said happened shortly before 5 a.m. in the parking lot at 13255 Telegraph Road.
According to investigators, the victim arranged to meet an unknown man in the 14800 block of Cloverdale Avenue.
The suspect picked her up and drove to the commuter lot, where he brandished a weapon and sexually assaulted her before taking her phone and electronically transferring money to his account, police said.
The man then drove the victim to an area in Stafford County, where deputies were notified and contacted Prince William County police.
No injuries were reported, according to investigators.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, with a medium complexion, short brown wavy hair, and chin stubble.
He was last seen wearing black suit-style pants and a black T-shirt.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to contact Prince William County Police Department.
