WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — Avelo Airlines has pulled out of Bradley International Airport, according to the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA).
City of New Haven prohibits use of public funds for travel, promotion, collaboration involving Avelo Airlines
The CAA said in a statement released Thursday that it is disappointed by Avelo's decision, particularly the cancellation of the state's only nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica. They called the decision "inexplicable."
Bradley Airport told News 8 the airline had three flights directly from Connecticut: to Punta Cana, Cancun and Montego Bay. Avelo will be exiting the airport after its last scheduled flight on Jan. 25, 2026.
Its final flights out of Bradley are scheduled as follows: • Cancun, Mexico - Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 •
