HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Housing Authority is releasing more information about the plans to demolish and redevelop Cuney Homes, Houston's oldest public housing community.
The housing authority says the redevelopment will happen in five phases between now and 2032.
While they have not yet released an exact date for when the demolition will begin, they say that starting the first week of November, their relocation team will start meeting with every household living at Cuney Homes to make a family moving plan.
They say residents will have the option for the housing authority to help with the move, or to receive money to coordinate it themselves.
