The Islip Ambulance Chiefs Association, in conjunction with the Sayville Ferry Service, Sayville Fire Department, and Suffolk County Fire Rescue, will conduct a Full- Scale Emergency Exercise at the Sayville Ferry Terminal and the waters off Sayville Beach on Saturday, November 1. The Sayville Ferry Service is the main transportation provider to and from the Fire Island Communities of Sailors Haven, Water Island, Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines. This exercise will bring together approximately 30 local, state and federal agencies to test their abilities to manage a mass casualty ferry incident involving over 70 patients on board and in the water.
