In Asansol district of West Bengal, a fraud involving over ₹350 crore and more than 3,000 people has come to light. The accused created a chit fund company, lured people with promises of high returns, and then fled with all the money.
Victims have filed complaints with the police. They said that initially, some people were given high returns, but later the accused stopped payments. When asked about the money, he began making excuses.
