Easton Area High School graduate Matt Clark was selected the Northeast Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after accounting for 13 points in Duquesne University’s 37-0 win at Mercyhurst on Saturday night. Clark, a senior, kicked field goals of 26, 27 and 31 yards and converted all four of his PAT tries. He also averaged 60.9 yards for his seven kickoffs with four of his kicks resulting in touchbacks.
Clark primarily was Duquesne’s kickoff specialist before recently assuming most of the Dukes’ kicking duties. His three field goals tied a school record for second-most in a game. WR Joe Kerbacher (Northampton) caught 2 passes for 11 yards for Mercyhurst.
