A brand new Costco warehouse will soon open in a Chicago suburb.

The popular, Washington-based membership club will open a 154,000 square-foot warehouse in suburban Yorkville, at 825 E. Veterans Parkway, between McHugh Road and East Countryside Parkway, according to a release.

The new store means members in the area no longer have to drive miles away to Naperville, Plainfield or St. Charles to shop at Costco, the release said.

“They have been asking us to open here for a long time, and we already have made an impact on the local job market," Warehouse Manager Steve Ftacek said in the release. "We look forward to contributing to the community in many ways.
